ABOUT US:

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & DRAFTING (Weighting 50%)
Engineering & Implementation
- Utilize CADWorx and Inventor software to design and detail pressure vessels/heat exchangers according to project specifications, industry standards (ASME, API, etc.), and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare designs for in-house-built pressure vessels, process towers, and heat exchangers.
- Resolve design conflicts in the shop.
- Make revisions to existing drawings.
Drawing Support
- Coordinate and prepare drawings under the direction of the project manager/project engineer.
- Use Startec or project-specific specifications for drawings.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of various design/drafting software packages.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of company drafting standards and procedures.
- Undertake any other related duties as required.
CLIENT INTERACTION & SUPPORT (Weighting 40%)
Stakeholder Engagement
- Deal with client concerns regarding designs.
- Attend client meetings as required.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally.
Technical Assistance
- Answer Technical Questions
- Attend appropriate project meetings as required.
- Support ammonia refrigeration and Service department as required.
Mentorship & Training
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, supporting their professional development and growth.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge in design software and best practices.
Innovation & Optimization
- Identify opportunities for design optimization, value engineering, and sustainable design solutions.
- Integrate innovative design concepts and construction techniques to enhance project outcomes.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards during the design and drafting process.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to address design requirements and incorporate changes or revisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering Design & Drafting Technology (EDDT) diploma specializing in structural design.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in pressure vessel/heat exchanger design and drafting.
- Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant/Structural/Equipment, Inventor, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessel/heat exchanger design principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience with 3D modeling software CADWorx Plant/Structural/Equipment, Inventor is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and error-free drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
