KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (Weighting 40%)
Sales Activity
- Develop new business within key product offerings.
- Utilize proven sales methods to identify and solicit potential clients.
- Prepare estimates, including parts and equipment sourcing.
- Delivery of Startec quotations and proposals for new and renewal of service agreements.
- Logs and records all sales opportunities within the CRM system.
Administration
- Provide weekly Sales Reports to the Sales Team.
- Ownership of maintenance agreement structure, renewals, equipment lists, and check sheets.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (Weighting 40%)
Stakeholder Engagement
- Create long-term customer relationships with new and existing customers.
- Communicate regularly with all current clients and advise relevant stakeholders of any complaints, issues, or performance challenges identified through client conversations.
Coordination
- Daily travel and customer interaction to support customer relationships and needs.
- Maintain client lists and contacts and document activities within the CRM system.
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT (Weighting 20%)
Sales Reporting
- Provides weekly Sales Reports to the Sales Team detailing services sold, quotes issued, sales pending, etc.
- Logs and records all sales opportunities within the CRM system and follows up on the status.
Collaboration & Team Coordination
- Participate in job kick-off meetings with the Service HVAC Coordinator and mechanics.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of sales and service activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Technologist, EIT, HVAC Technician or equivalent experience in commercial HVAC service.
- Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in a trade role and/or 3 - 5 years of sales experience
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in the commercial HVAC industry.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and applications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
