ABOUT US:
BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Rates are determined based on experience and tenure. The pay range for Apprentices (1st to 4th year) and Journeypersons (1st to 4th year) is $25.95 to $51.89 per hour (depending on supplemental rates/premiums).
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES (Weighting 60%)
System Design, Installation, and Maintenance
- Design and installation of welded, threaded, and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems.
- Conduct start-ups, inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for refrigeration and compression systems, resolving system issues as needed.
- Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manufacturer instructions to independently construct, assemble, and install equipment.
Problem Resolution
- Troubleshoot refrigeration electrical control systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform all work in compliance with the Quality Control and Health & Safety program.
- Take on additional duties as required to support job functions.

- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism, competence, and integrity.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reports to facilitate prompt invoicing and support customer and company needs.

- Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered with Apprenticeship Industry Training (AIT) as a third/fourth-year apprentice (Refrigeration) or Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC refrigeration mechanics.
- Basic computer skills required (MS Office Applications)
- Class A Gas Fitting is an asset
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training.
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver's Abstract
- Ability to work independently and on-call.
- Ability to work out of town. Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
